Mr Bar Stool

Ever heard of Mr Bar Stool?  If you live in Philly, and you have an interest in setting up your own bar setting, it is the place to go to for great bar stools.  Mr Bar Stool is more like a warehouse rather than a store, they have a bunch of different office chairs as well as bar sets, table and chairs.  They have thousands of them in many different colors, sizes and styles, traditional all the way to contemporary.

Mr Bar Stool is found at the corner of 2nd and Race streets back in the historic old city.  If you’re planning on making a stop there, last time I checked their store hours were as follows:

Mon-Thurs: 10am – 6pm
Friday: 10am – 4pm
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: 11am – 5pm

If you’re a working class guy or gal, it kind of sucks that they close so early on Friday and aren’t even open on Saturday, so if you’re looking to visit Mr Bar Stool your best chance of getting in there is on a Sunday.

Now they have many different bar stools available, however most of them are for 30” bar height or 26” counter height.  They have wood backless stools, wood bar stools, metal backless stools and metal bar stools.  The great thing about them is not only do they sell this, but they have some killer office chairs as well!  Really, you will never see some more interesting looking office chairs anywhere else.  Some of them look like they were built in the future and shipped back here.  However, their stools and tables are equally impressive.

Now they have many discounts running from time to time which you’ll want to keep an eye out for.  The best way to stay on top of all of this is to visit them or call them directly however they also sometimes update their webpage.  Currently they are selling a Monticello counter stool, 26” high for $169 when originally it would go for $259.  It’s a stunning and elegant, somewhat bronze looking chair with a padded brown seat, although by the time you read this it might no longer be on sale.

Now if you’re looking to purchase something from Mr Bar Stool, it would be a good idea to first look through the selection they have on their website, you can get a quick idea of all they have to offer by browsing all the pictures they have on there.  This is especially useful considering their hours of operation.  Once you find some things that you’re interested in, you should take note of them and go to the store to enquire about them, reason being that they don’t have pricing for their items listed on the webpage.
